{{Disciplines}} The term Rally generically defines a speed event in which each team tackles the course one at a time and are timed over the distance. Cars are not directly racing each other, although passing is allowed on most stages if the following car catches the one in front. Rallies can be conducted on all kinds of surfaces, gravel, bitumen, snow etc or a combination of many.
